Daxxify® Injections in New York City

Daxxify® may be a good option if you wish to reduce the appearance of forehead frown lines with longer-lasting results compared to other injectable treatments.

It is a safe and effective treatment option for glabellar lines, more commonly known as frown lines and 11s.

Dr. Shelton has been trained on DAXXIFY® and he will do a comprehensive facial evaluation to pinpoint the correct dosage for you during your consultation with him, prior to the treatment. 

 Recovery period

Like Botox®, Daxxify® doesn’t require a downtime. Patients may experience minimal swelling or redness at the injection site, which will go down within a few hours. You can continue your daily activities four hours following the treatment. 

Daxxify® or Botox®? Which is better for forehead wrinkles? 

Daxxify® and Botox® are both effective at improving the appearance of forehead wrinkles. But Daxxify effects may last up to 6 months. Botox® injections may last only for about 4 months or even less than that.  Depending on individual results, people who choose Daxxify® may need only 2 treatments a year instead of scheduling three or four maintenance treatment injections a year. 

What are the common side effects of Daxxify® and Botox®? 

Daxxify® and Botox® injections are generally well - tolerated. But as with any treatment there may be side effects. Patients will experience redness, bruising or slight tenderness and swelling at the injection site. Dr. Shelton will discuss other risks as they may pertain to you once you’re seen by him in consultation.
