Avéli long term treatment for Cellulite in NYC
Dr. Ron Shelton at Laser & Skin Surgery Center of New York is excited to be one of the very first Dermatologic surgeons in NYC to offer Avéli™ for a meaningful and long-term treatment for Cellulite dimples in NYC
What is cellulite? How do you get cellulite?
Cellulite is not your fault. Genetics and hormones play a role and up to 90% of women have Cellulite. Cellulite, seen like orange peel or dimple and dents on the buttocks and thighs is a depression caused by fibrous bands that tether your skin to the structures below. These bands are called septa. Some septa are good as they function as connective tethers. Others stiffen or shrink over time and lead to the dimples we see on the surface which are known as cellulite.
It’s important to distinguish cellulite from other concerns like laxity or localized fat, which Dr. Shelton can discuss with you during a consultation at his practice.
Avéli™ long-term treatment for cellulite reduction in NYC
Avéli™ is a highly effective approach to treating cellulite based on a deep understanding of the anatomy. However, Dr. Shelton is interested to see how Aveli can help skin laxity as well.
Avéli™ identifies and releases the primary structural cause of cellulite from the inside-out in a single minimally-invasive procedure with little downtime.
How to reduce cellulite with Avéli™
Avéli™ is performed by Dr. Shelton himself using a handheld device to manually target and release the complicated web of septa bands causing cellulite dimples.
Avéli™ targets the primary structural cause of cellulite in 3 steps:
- Your doctor guides the Avéli™ device under the skin directly to the targeted dimples.
- After he identifies the septa bands which cause the dimple, those septa are precisely released.
- Lastly, he confirms the release instantly, delivering visibly smoother skin
