If you have an abundance of a fat depot overlying the stomach's muscular wall, then CoolSculpting could be for you. However, if your muscle wall has a weakened outer sheath of connective tissue, and the strong muscle wall is bulging forward without much overlying fat, then you would need an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck) to get a flatter stomach. You will need an examination to determine what is best for you. Can NYC CoolSculpting by Zeltiq be done over scar tissue? In consultation, I examine scars to ensure that there is no obvious hernia and that the scar is mature and strong. We have had good results in patients who have had abdominal scars. Zeltiq is a non-invasive method of freezing the fat and has been FDA-cleared. This very commonly done procedure may produce some soreness bruising and even numbness but these seem to be temporary symptoms.
