Zeltiq™ or CoolSculpting™ is a technique where the skin and fat are chilled and the fat cells or adiposities are affected by this cold temperature. The fat cells actually die. This technology was developed when scientists discovered that fat cells are vulnerable to the affects of cold.

CoolSculpting™ works by using a device that is similar to a vacuum. The machine pulls the problem area in between two cold plates.
